LCDs, Plasmas. We are already familiar with these new technologies for TV , right? Well today we will take a brief look at new technologies that are already making headway in the cell , and probably, be a very attractive alternative to consider, when we go to buy that new TV.
Of course, to round a little more, we will also discuss and Plasmas LCDs, along with their advantages and disadvantages.
Plasma TVs are flat screen TVs, with characteristics similar to these TVs. This means they consume less electricity than a CRT, do not blink, take – obviously – less space. Plasma TVs starting from 40 “up (that’s why we do not see PC monitors using this technology) and despite offering a quality similar to LCDs, used a different technology: the display is composed of small cells between the two panels glass containing a mixture of noble gases.
Advantages:The color quality is superior to most LCDs, such as the quality of black. Nor suffer the problem of “ghosting” that we see in some older LCDs. Best angles of visibility (ie, we can sit on the sides of the TV, without major problems to see the picture). Lower price.
Disadvantages: They need a special room for the TV, reflecting brighter than an LCD. Also, do not work at altitude, due to changes in gas pressure. In previous models, the plasma was more susceptible to “burn in” – what happens when we leave a long frozen image on the TV and it becomes “burned” on the screen – a problem that has been practically solved with technology advances .
LCD or Liquid Crystal Displays, are also flat screens, but unlike Plasmas, LCD is capable of guiding light to your way through the glass. Unlike plasma, LCDs are used in all kinds of devices, from watches, to digital cameras, televisions, monitors, laptops, and of course, phones.
Advantages: Available in a variety of sizes. Maintain quality and brightness in bright rooms. Lighter than Plasma, better resolution (when compared to plasma TVs of the same size). They consume less electricity.
Disadvantages: Does not offer the same level of quality in color or black for a Plasma. LCDs initially showed a problem with response times, which created the “ghosting” – Take any action movie, and look at one particularly frantic scene. If the movements are very fast, maybe the object is moving leaving a “trail” behind it, which looks bad.

Plasma vs LCD

Although both samples technologies sufficient similarities to consider both as possible televisions, until recently, the best experience, especially if we had a conditioned environment for the TV, it was with plasma technology. Given the quality of colors and higher contrast (to produce a black color that really looked black, not dark gray), the plasma was offering the best quality screens. But of course, only if we were able to put fourth as Home Theater . The LCD, which has slowly been reaching the plasma levels of quality, has an enormous advantage: its versatility to adapt to any environment without major problems

Maximum PC has an interesting article listing the uses we can give our PC while you sleep. The best solution, of course, is turned off if not used, but if you have a PC dedicated to web downloads / system security with Vitamin D , surely we can optimize these hours, doing well, some of these proposed tasks:

Running security software - Why not take advantage of these hours of leisure (for PC), to schedule our antivirus ? In Microsoft Security Essentials is as easy as going to Settings / Scheduled Scan, and daily schedule to a time when we are not in the PC

Perform Backups – Another good job for our tireless PC. At night, we can program our computer to do backups. We saw several tools for this, as EASEUS All Backup , or my favorite, SyncBack , which automates everything.

Running a distributed computing serviico - It’s a kind of screensaver that downloads pieces of data, and begin to analyze it on multiple PCs The best known are SETI @ Home and Folding @ Home

Download file - The most common task for PCs night: downloaded files. At night, when not using the PC, we can spend all the bandwidth to uTorrent , JDownloader, Steam, or whatever you want to download. The Bonus? The next morning, when they awake, they will have a big smile on his face to see how many new files .

Facebook has just revealed new data which reveals that “only” 0.06% of logins per day (one billion) are “committed”. In short, 600,000 times a day, someone comes in, in an unauthorized manner, different Facebook accounts, forcing Facebook to temporarily block the bill.
This is probably due to password safety too poor, or passwords that are recycled (use the same password on multiple services). Or, as we saw in ” Hack Facebook ” simply too much personal information is shared, which makes a bit of social engineering, we disclose the information we need

Trusted friends

Voip Service android mobile voip, apple mobile voip, blackberry mobile voip, call from pc to phone, call to any destination, cheap calls, cheap calls to india, cheap international calls
Together with the data mentioned above, Facebook has just implement “trusted friends”, or Trusted Friends. The idea? If we lose the password (or is amended), will send you a piece of code three or five friends. Putting all the codes sent by our friends, unlock our account if it has been hacked or compromised. When three or five friends will never know the full code will not know who the others are not trustworthy friends.

If you only come to Facebook from their laptops, smartphones and tablets (never public PCs or friends), then this option is one that must be activated. In this way, every time someone tries to enter our account from a computer gadget or unknown, will need approval in advance.
